Contribution to edited volume published

The edited collection “Fragile Behausungen - Prekäres Wohnen und Wohnungslosigkeit in Zeiten multipler Krisen” has been published, bringing together interdisciplinary perspectives on housing insecurity, precarious living conditions and homelessness. Edited by Frank Sowa, Marisa Geiser-Krummenacher, Pauline Runge, Tom Neu, Anna Xymena Tissot, Nora Sellner and Athanasios Tsirikiotis, the volume explores contemporary housing challenges in times of overlapping social crises.

Among the contributions, Philipp Kadelke’s chapter, “Die Mietwohnung als Unsicherheitsraum. Ungleiche Wohnsicherheitslagen entlang des Wohneigentumsstatus” , examines how precarious housing extends beyond homelessness. From a sociological perspective, the author argues that rental housing itself may fail to adequately provide long-term housing security.
