New research article published
Previous research has shown that landlords in Germany are better off than both the population and tenants. In this article from the latest issue of Culture, Practice & Europeanisation, Philipp Kadelke confirms this finding for the first time on the basis of representative data for 17 European countries (Household Finance and Consumption Survey). Individuals who let housing on the side are not only in a legal asymmetry with tenants, but also in a socio-economic asymmetry - regardless of time, country-specific housing systems and inequality structures.
